ABOUT – Jeri Sedlar

Our mission is to help people Rewire! into fulfilling, fun and financially – wise futures that keep them engaged and connected to society as they age.

Jeri Sedlar is a motivational speaker, social researcher, and co-author of the nationally acclaimed book, Don’t Retire, REWIRE! Third Edition. She is a master of retirement life planning and has earned the title of America’s “rewiring” expert. She has interviewed hundreds of professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, partners and pre-retirees in all industries about their hopes, dreams and fears about the future. She has discovered both the pleasures and pain and possibilities and pitfalls associated with retirement.

Since the introduction of Don’t Retire, REWIRE! in 2002 Jeri has been traveling the globe challenging individuals to get out of their own way and break through society’s as well as their own individual “silver ceilings” to find the fun and fulfillment they deserve and desire at this life stage.

Jeri’s career has predominantly been in the personal development and transition arena, fostering change as Editor at Large of WORKING WOMAN and Senior Advisor at The Conference Board on the Mature Workforce.

As a delegate to the White House Conference on Aging and a member of the New York State AARP Executive Council she continues to advance the concept of positive aging through engagement.

Her rewiring message has resonated across the globe from workshops in Dubai to keynotes in Dallas to interviews with traditional media both on air and on line. She writes a blog and as she says…”people are my passion and I want them to get their futures right!

ABOUT – Rick Miners

Our mission is to help people Rewire into fulfilling, fun and financially wise futures that keep them engaged and connected to society as they age.

Rick Miners is an entrepreneur, writer, coach and expert on transition and retirement life planning. Rick was co-founder and president of FlexCorp Systems, a business process outsourcing company.  Shortly after FlexCorp was named by INC Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States, he unexpectedly sold the company. He had what he calls a “cliff” retirement, when he quickly realized he didn’t have a plan for what he was going to do next.

Rick, also the former president of a human resource consulting company, witnessed that people are happiest when they are moving toward a goal…large or small. He has interviewed thousands of pre and post retirees about their lives and unearthed major reasons why some individuals and couples successfully create fulfilling futures, while others fail miserably.

Rick’s rewiring has included serving on the boards of several not for profit organizations. He is currently on the board and is treasurer of the Four Block Foundation, a national organization that provides career services for military veterans.

Rick is the co-author of the books, DON’T RETIRE, REWIRE! and ON TARGET, Enhance your Life and Ensure Your Success, and co-creator of the Rewiring process and the concept of Rewirement.  He has appeared on radio and television including the Today Show, CNN, PBS, and is frequently quoted in the press on the changing face of retirement. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University.

ABOUT – The Team of Jeri Sedlar & Rick Miners

Jeri Sedlar and Rick Miners, husband and wife, have emerged as America’s REWIRING! Experts.

Jeri and Rick want individuals and couples to have the most fun and fulfilling futures imaginable.  Through their work and on-going research, they know that people in this life stage sometimes need a “push” in the right direction to get started.

They are the creators of the concepts of Rewiring and Rewirement or as they define it, the new way to do retirement. Their philosophy is, “We don’t care what people call the future, retirement or rewirement.  We do care about how people live their future!” Jeri and Rick are focused on helping individuals better understand the tangible and intangible aspects of planning for the future. Their goal is to help people identify what drives them; to unearth the people, places and things that will keep them engaged and connected with life throughout their life.

Jeri and Rick have uniquely different, but complementary styles. They engage and inspire audiences and are known for their practical and tactical advice. Their programs are interactive, thought provoking, and entertaining.
